Why You Should Make a Preview
Do you have a video RSS feed? We can help you get more subscribers to watch your channel. Just create a 1 minute preview that makes someone want to watch your channel.
In Democracy Player, viewers will be able to click a link at the bottom of the screen to subscribe to your channel. On this website, viewers can use the 1-click button or the RSS link. Your mission is to make a 1-minute video that will make them want to click that link.
How to Submit a Preview
Make a preview of your channel that’s 60 seconds or less and post it to a web site somewhere (probably your video site, right?). Then send an email to channels@pculture.org with these things:
1. Exact name of your channel.
2. A byline. For example: “by Driftwood Media” or “by Nell Green” etc.
3. A description of your channel in 15 words or less. What’s unique, interesting, funny, about your channel?
4. A link to your video RSS feed. For example: http://www.dudebro.com/video-feed.rss
5. A link to the video file for your channel preview. For example: http://www.dudebro.com/dudebro-preview.mpg
Every submission must have all of these things.
Optional:
a. attach or send a link to a screenshot of your preview so that we don’t have to make one.
b. a link to the website for your channel, if you have one.
Each submission is reviewed by a volunteer moderator. We will pick 1 submission per day to feature. Don’t be offended if we don’t pick your preview, there is a lot of great stuff out there and we are limited.
